An Art-Filled Afternoon

Last Friday, we took an afternoon "creative recharge" trip over to University Circle for the much anticipated Gauguin Exhibit at The Cleveland Museum of Art. A beautiful (and educational) exhibit, "Paul Gauguin: Paris 1889" recreates the exhibition that Gauguin himself organized for the 1889 Exposition Universelle. We strolled leisurely, viewing and learning the works of Gauguin and his fellow artists of the time. We were most intrigued by the stories behind the woman in the waves...visit the exhibit and be sure to grab a cell phone-like audio guide to learn more about this acclaimed work. Be sure to reserve a bit of extra time to express your own artistic talents on the way out; you're never to old to color!
